Press Release: CEO of Condor Hotels Appointed Board Member of North Wales Tourism

North Wales Tourism has appointed Yvonne Jackson, Founder and CEO of Condor Hotels, as a Board Member just a year after her appointment as Advisor to the Board.

Yvonne held significant senior roles within the hospitality sector throughout her impressive thirty-year career, including Q Hotels, Hilton Hotels and DeVere Hotels, ultimately leading to the incorporation of her own hotel, hospitality and leisure consultancy, Condor Hotels, in 2016.

As Founder and CEO of Condor Hotels, Yvonne is a ‘hands-on’ business consultant. Together with her team of experts, she provides a comprehensive consultancy solution for owners and operators within the hospitality sector. Working with experienced owners and those considering investing in hospitality assets, Condor Hotels can advise of feasibility and help ensure efficiency within internal operations, supporting owners to achieve the best from their assets.

Appointed Advisor to North Wales Tourism in 2022, Yvonne has extensive previous experience working with them on workshops that assisted independent hospitality owners through the pandemic, and her abundance of frontline experience within the hospitality sector makes her uniquely placed to support local businesses through her role at North Wales Tourism.

The last few years have been challenging for the hospitality, travel and leisure industries across the UK, in part due to COVID-19. Now on the up, alongside her work with Condor Hotels, Yvonne’s new role as a Member of the Board at North Wales Tourism seeks to support these sectors, aiming to build and maintain sustainable tourism in North Wales.

Talking about her appointment as a North Wales Tourism Board Member, Yvonne said:

“I feel incredibly honoured to have been asked to sit on the Board of North Wales Tourism. Taking on the role of Advisor last year was a huge achievement, and this new appointment is an opportunity to further utilise my knowledge of Welsh hospitality to support North Wales, which has also been my home for over 15 years.”

“North Wales has seen some real challenges over the past few years, and it has been fantastic to see things moving positively since the pandemic. Although there is still a great deal of work to do, with the right direction and experience, nothing is stopping us from making continuous improvements for tourism in the region, and North Wales Tourism is certainly helping to make strides in the right direction.”

Glenn Evans, Chair for North Wales Tourism, added:

“We are delighted to welcome Yvonne as a Board Member: she has a wealth of diverse experience and expertise across many areas of our industry as well as making North Wales

her home. As we face the many challenges before us, it is really positive to have Yvonne come on board and share her skills and insight with us.”

Yvonne’s appointment to the Board of North Wales Tourism adds yet another accolade to her already impressive list of professional achievements, one that is certain to benefit not only North Wales but any clients who work with Condor Hotels.
